Care in the Community

More of the same from the idiot nurse from last Thursday - As I think I mentioned we have a service user who to put it mildly has a personality disorder, now this is all well and good but the trouble is that his Community Psychiatric Nurse has clearly lost the plot. For example we wrote to the consultant - with a copy for the CPN because we were concerned about his drinking, the CPN then goes and SHOWS the letter to the service user without any reference to the people who wrote it i.e. third party letter disclosed without reference to the originator (or of you prefer as far as I'm concerned breach of data protection act) and without any due consideration of the effect of this disclosure. In addition he then goes and says that it's ok for the guy to go out and drink, result is that bloke is pissed every day. And the best bit is that the CPN claims to be acting in the service user's best interests I don't think so.
