Stories coming out of Iraq about British Special Forces being arrested for murder and then an attempt by the Army to rescue them by demolishing the police station. A little overkill or...
As reported in the Daily Mail our brave boys are being incinerated in their tanks which vengeful mobs are igniting with petrol bombs. The photographs, on closer examination reveal one mildly singed armoured personnel carrier and a number of views of one commander bailing out having been petrol bombed. Now what is the point of the story? Is it that our troops are under constant attack and should be brought home? Or that the Iraqis are not a happy people and are trying to overthrow the rule of law? Or is it that our defence forces have been so pared to the bone that they can't even be issued with fire resistant armoured vehicles? No, all wrong - it's an attack on our Prime Minister, not very well disguised either. Go on you reporters if you want to attack him do so. How difficult can it be to find proof that he's out of touch with the rest of the country, that his party and its policies are unwanted and that he believes that he's a great statesman - which he clearly isn't.
