Twenty-Four Years Too Late

It is quite clear from reading the press and hearing the appalling man speak on the radio this morning that Bob Crow of the RMT thinks he is living in Britain in 1984 just before Thatcher's government smashed the power of the unions once and for all in her showdown with Arthur Scargill.
Why on earth does he persist in his delusion that he and his members can hold London to ransom by going on strike and whining about not being consulted over decisions made by the Mayor - not that his attacks on Boris are politically motivated (as yet) as he was equally curmudgeonly with cuddly Ken (the darling of the pseudo-intelligentsia who kept him in power for so long that he started to believe his own propaganda) - to improve safety on the underground when some of the most recent strikes have been allegedly about safety issues?
Add to this the fact that he appears to believe that everything is a conspiracy against him (see his entry in Wikipedia) and you soon start to see the dangers of undiagnosed psychosis in the community - don't worry about the schizophrenic with a knife - I'd worry more about the one with a sense of destiny who believes all the Marxist/Leninist propaganda he has been fed over the years and who's in charge of one of our transport unions...
