Fourth Plinth

I'm disappointed to learn that the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square is to continue to be used for "contemporary art" although if a burned out car aka "the Spoils of War" (a 'symbolic representation of the incidental death of civilians in an unwanted conflict') is now considered art then there is plenty of it to be had for free in many a suburban side street. Indeed if you are going to use the title "The spoils of war" how about a statue of one of the many servicemen maimed in Afghanistan? Or the driver of an armoured vehicle burned alive when the Americans destroyed a column of retreating Iraqi armour in 1991? Or even one of the many stabbed teenagers that lie dying in the capital's gutters.
Mister Squeaky (who has got his artist's smock on) thinks that they should have a statue of the unknown pigeon instead...
