Apparently Amy Winehouse doesn't like herself very much and that's why she has been turning to altered states of conciousness. Now looking for a justification for your behaviour is a very common thing with people who use drugs to find some kind of oblivion, but usually they try to find some other excuse that is outside of them - it was my parents/upbringing/where I live/being talentless and unemployable (although to be fair the drugs might just be the reason for the last one) that were responsible and I'm the innocent victim in all this "poor little me".
Now I'm not a fan of Ms Winehouse or her music but at least she seems to have a little bit of a sense of responsibility unlike some other people in the public eye who continue to soak up a considerable amount of product from the fields of Afghanistan...
