According to Metro a German Zoo (Konzentrationslager für Tiere) has added a new terror to its harsh treatment for primates by hiring a clown to "entertain" them. The clown has been quoted as saying "They go wild when they see me coming" and then gets lost in self-delusion by finishing "because they know they are going to have fun" , somehow I think that the average Bonobo or Gorilla would not find a pie in the face or having its trousers filled with whitewash particularly amusing, and I have it on good authority that orang-utans have nothing but contempt for idiots dressed in giant shoes and red noses.
Personally if I was running a zoo (although I will admit a care home comes a very close second) I'd get the clowns in to help with the crocodiles feeding time....
