Wrong Priorities Ahead

Nice to see that the Home Secretary is getting tough on crime - ignore the fact that the jails are overcrowded, that dangerous offenders are on the loose and people have committed offences abroad which have not been recorded - and go for the easy option by announcing a proposal for new measures to deal with internet crawling paedophiles instead.
How about sorting out the criminals we already have before making more? How about using existing legislation instead of creating more which no doubt will be badly worded and allow large numbers of serious offenders to escape their deserved punishment by using legal loopholes so big that you could drive a bus through them. And how about sorting out the causes of crime rather than the consequences? More to the point how about resigning mister home secretary and letting someone who is fit for the office do the job?
