Now completely bewildered and lost. Reason being the Kerrang video show thingie on freeview tv. Who on earth was voting for the awards, and more to the point why? I mean in a choice between Amy Lee and Cristina Scabbia who would you vote for? The answer's obvious but oh no Kerrang readers vote for Amy - nice enough in her own way but not a smoldering Italian by any stretch of the imagination. Then the "imaginitive video" goes to something by Green Day that looked suspiciously like out-takes from Blackhawk Down.
Basically it seemed to be that all the winners were the stuff that the journos have been telling the kids is good and not letting them form their own opinions. Just wait until it's time for this year's Golden Squeakies...
Incidentally the nominations for the Squeakies are not quite pouring in at the moment. However bearing in mind that I not actually seen a hugh amount of great talent this year (but the stuff I have seen has been top-notch). I'll let you know the provisional list in a few days time.
