Ken Livingstone's Dad's Newts Dead

Most of you probably know that I have no particular love of Ken Livingstone, the ayatollah of road transport. For a start I would like to know why, if the congestion charge is such a blinding success, there is still wall to wall pollution along the Euston Road. Then of course there are the fuel cell buses - I have only ever seen these screaming down the A12 past Newbury Park without any passengers on board just a sign saying that they are being tested. Now correct me if I'm wrong here but surely as the whole purpose of buses is to carry people, the tests should also include how good the bloody things are at carrying people?
Now Ken has also opposed Thames water having a desalination plant so that they can do something about the water shortage, objected vehemently to nuclear power - although as far as I know there were never any plans to site a reactor in the part of London Ken lives in (although this would not be a bad idea) and also has launched a crusade against 4x4 vehicles in the greater London area - despite the fact that where I live is only a few minutes from the Essex countryside where you can happily go ploughing through mud strewn lanes (past The Green Man - a pub with chickens running around the bar - at Toot Hill to the Drill House or the back way to The Mole Trap). Well I've had enough of Ken and his endless campaigning for the popular vote - So I've decided that if the Navy can have nuclear powered submarines why can't I have an environmentally friendly nuclear powered car?
