Now suffering from shell-shock, just waiting for the whistle and the order "OK lads Over the Top we Go!" then the slow walk to death across the barbed wire strewn inferno of no-mans land.
For the last week we've been having a barrage laid down every night, apparently due to an assortment of religious festivals - Diwali, Eid and the burning of the Catholic conspirators...
Now call me mister picky if you like, but I can't quite believe that any religion has a commandment along the lines of "annoy the fuck out of your neighbours for an entire week by setting off fireworks and simulate the firebombing of Hamburg and Dresden at the same time"
