Quids In
I had what appeared to be a rather serious oil/fuel leak on the car, the trouble being that it just wasn't clear where from. There were various candidates but no real clues so I had to do a bit of detective work - and eventually discovered on the interweb someone who had a similar problem - they had a fuel leak from the injector pump return line, so I duly inspected the lines and found some holes in one of the injector leak-off pipes which was pouring fuel down the side of the engine, accumulating oil and other gunk on the way, finding its way around the vacuum pump and making it look like the gasket had blown then continuing down the injector pump bracket and suggesting that there was either a leak from the pump or one of the fuel lines. Cost of repair £1, value of relief priceless.
