Failed!

Took the faithful Land Rover for it's annual health check today. Needless to say it failed the MOT and can be repaired at vast expense by the garage. Now being a little bit on the handy side here its all jobs I can do myself- replacing a couple of shock absorbers, replacing a very big nut & bolt and cleaning some oil up, the cost of the spares is less than an hour of the mechanics time - so what if it takes me twice as long? I'm saving money and following some of the stuff I've experienced from mechanics - turbo hoses not being reattached properly and bolts falling out of alternator mountings at least I know that if it goes wrong I haven't paid someone to fuck it up for me.
