I'm beginning to have grave doubts about this whole "social networking" phenomenon - after all what you end up with is a hugh list of people who claim to be your mates and in reality you only ever really contact a handful regularly but then you measure your worth by the total number of 'friends' rather than the quality of the relationship. So it's not really all that social at all...indeed Mister Squeaky (the Giant Rubber Goth Bat and self-appointed trend forecaster) no less has been suggesting that there should be diametrically opposed website providing what he calls "antisocial networking" where you have a large list of people who you really dislike and then consistently ignore them and their pathetic little lives. So no difference to myspace then....
