Pattern Recognition

Whilst idly thumbing through the what's on the TV over the festive season, I realised that we no longer have the plethora of gardening/household makeover shows that we once did and cookery shows are now in an advanced state of decline. Indeed following the relatively recent debacle over Celebrity big brother (aka the programme that featured a pig faced waste of blood and organs) reality TV is also taking a back seat. So the problem now comes with identifying what the makers of television will adopt as their next mass opiate. I appreciate that this is not an easy task at the moment as the schedules are stuffed to bursting with the visual equivalent of the holiday paperback but I'm prepared to suggest that 2008 will be crammed full of business related programmes (i.e. entrepreneurs are going to be the new celebrity chefs) Just wait and see...
