Was a nice quiet Christmas day where I could do what I wanted and not trouble anyone else - in fact my idea day would have been spent playing a certain strategy game on the PC with regular breaks for coffee, bacon sandwiches, removing Mister Squeaky's head from the container of Bombay mix with generous applications of goose fat (well you can't use lard during the festive season now can you?) and more coffee.
Instead of which I got to spend a whole hour going nowhere and watching the windows steam up whilst sitting in a car on the M25 whilst someone else's Christmas took a very rapid turn for the worse (5 injured, 2 seriously) as they were extricated from the wreckage of their car. Eventually arrived at my brother's for a less than festive meal, the exchange of completely useless gifts - for the record I'm still using up last year's supply of chilli powder - off on a bit of a tangent here but does anyone actually use mango powder for anything other than cluttering the cupboard?
