Stupid Girls (and Boys)

There's quite a bit of fuss about social networking websites at the moment and how they fail to protect children from being groomed by paedophiles and lured into all kinds of other unsavoury activities and how they should be protected. Quite right too.
So why is it then that when trawling through other users on myspace (only looking to see if I can find anyone more gloom laden and despondent than myself honest officer) I come across children who are putting their age as 40+ and then stating quite clearly on the profile something like "Hi, I'm Britney-Kylie and I'm not 40 I'm really 13 stupid!" Surely the people who run the sites should be on the lookout for these foolish minors and taking them out of circulation for their own protection. Then of course you could ask what on earth are their parents doing in not monitoring their child's internet access or talking to their children about the importance of using common sense - a commodity that is clearly in short supply in this day and age.
