My Day at Work and Other Tales

I'm doing an NVQ which is allegedly equivalent to a degree - as I already have one of those I know a little bit about the work that is involved - and let's be truthful here - an NVQ 4/5 is in no way equivalent.
I don't recall during my degree ever having to write any kind of essay/paper where it could have been subtitled "My Day at Work" and be something like one of those post school holiday essays we used to have to write. The idea of a higher qualification is to show that you can apply new knowledge and think critically about a subject in my view not write your life story or attempt to show that you are able to manage finances by creating a budget for washing powder or work out how many apples the average senior citizen may eat in a week and allow for all kinds of variance due to weather, availability and choice of apple variety.
Frankly I'm not impressed and if what I'm doing in any way is considered to be a higher management qualification then the NVQ system devalues education completely
