Anthem for Doomed Ideas

Just for a change I had the radio on in the car on the way to work instead of the usual blast of Sons of Northern Darkness (Altogether now: "We're the Tyrants..."). So I heard that BBC London are holding a song writing competition as there is apparently no true anthem for London - New York has New York, New York, Chicago has Sweet Home Chicago and so on (Bet you can't find one for Ulan Bator though) - and they feel that we need one in time for the Olympics.
Now this is something which is patently untrue -what about London Calling, or Streets of London (Anti-Nowhere League Version of course) just as two examples. Mister Squeaky, who's just woken up, has suggested Gillan's Running, White Face, City Boy although I think that this is more likely a description what that oh so naughty bat is just off out to cause.
It's just a pity that it isn't a competition for a top tune for the games themselves as my vote would go immediately for the Scary Bitches and This is not my idea of fun.
