I used to think that Ongar was not too bad a place, a small town in the Essex commuter belt with a far too narrow high street and a useful place that sold Land Rover spares (now sadly gone). Then I discover today that the horrible Jade from Big Bother lives there.
Bad enough that they have a humanzee in their midst but to actually find people who live there prepared to defend the indefensible and deeply unpleasant character she has shown herself to be is just beyond belief.
If you woke up one morning and found that one of your neighbours was someone as notorious as Ian Huntley I bet you wouldn't be telling the flock of journalists gathered around the doorstep that he was a nice guy really but a bit thick and he didn't think about the consequences of what he did before he did it now would you? So why leap to the defence of someone who's fifteen minutes are well and truly over.
