Just when I was thinking that local newspaper journalism was the worst thing in the media I have discovered a new all-time low - the trade newspaper. I have been sent a complementary (not that I have taken it as a complement) copy of the Care Today Bugle or some similar instantly forgettable title. Stimulating reading it is not. The highlight is some sort of pets corner for pictures of cute animals that live in care homes - clearly the editor never met the psychotic moggie that used to prowl around Ansell Ward at St Clemmies - one encounter with Satan or whatever the vicious beast was called would have been enough to change his opinion of pets in care settings.
Then of course there is the lead story - all about how some wanker or other thought it would be a good idea for some inmates of a care home for "special needs" (LD or ASD at a guess) to have an encounter with wildlife in the form of Mick and his performing reptiles...they still haven't found Graham and Polly the Python has a very suspect bulge in her middle...
And I can only bear so many adverts for incontinence devices in one day.
