Strange stuff religion, makes you hang around with all kinds of radicals who are so unhappy with the religion of the country they are living in that they want to plot against the current government and carry out dramatic acts of terrorism, rather than move to a place where there beliefs are tolerated (although they wouldn't like the lack of modern amenities). Sounds familiar?
Well I'm not talking about the recent alleged Islamic terrorists who disrupted so many people's holiday plans - I'm actually talking about the events of 1605 and the powder treason. Mind you I think that some of these modern terrorists might reconsider their actions if they were going to be tortured in the Tower to get a confession (Honest Guv, we only racked 'im a little bit) and then hung, drawn and quartered, somehow I'm guessing that they only carry out their dodgy deeds in civilised countries to avoid this fate...
