Curbing Thought Disorder

Overt Social Control by central government a very bad thing. Covert social control by global corporations a seriously bad thing and something we should struggle to defeat, unfortunately when you do try to speak out against the large corporations they try to silence you - large multinational McBurger chain versus joe public for speaking out - for example.
They are invading our shopping centres, they are taking over the out-of-town retail parks carpeting the land with bland uniformity (Think sofas, Think DFS, Think Again), they are polluting the media with their endless messages to the masses "Consume or else!" They use seemingly innocent slogans "I'm lovin' It" - What, pray tell, are you 'lovin'? Reformed recovered cow meat (now with extra hooves and lips! It's yummy mummy!) in a bun or deep fried reconstituted potato powder? I don't think so somehow. Give me my local burger bar anyday (Jake's in Seven Kings - one of a kind).
Just look at the endless parade of shops in your High Street - bet you they include McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, Phones4U/The Link, Burton, Starbucks/Costa Coffee, Superdrug, Boots, Smiths, and so on. If this carries on I'm moving to Royston Vasey - local shops for local people, or even to France - the French have a much healthier attitude to supporting the underdog.
Fight back by supporting your local traders. So what if you pay extra, at least you are putting money back into your own community rather than into the coffers of the faceless uniformity of global corporations who only care about the money.
