I don't have a TV, so I have to rely on what I can see at other people's places and when at work (really busy obviously). I've just discovered that Big Brother 2005 is in its 5000th week or whatever, it seems that it's been on forever. I might even forego my campaign to have Claire Sweeney declared a National Emergency if the source of all evil DAVINA McCALL is put on trial in the Hague for crimes against humanity (now there's a test of whether there's a god or not). Why do these alleged reality television shows have to be hosted by people who would fail the interview for being a village idiot by being too well qualified?
Anyway, back to the point what exactly is the purpose of these vile programmes, with their abhorrent contestants? Why can't they bring back more genuinely funny competitions like 'Sale of the Century' Why not make more high quality programmes that are thought provoking and educational? I suspect that the answer lies with our government, if we don't educate and inform the masses (which I believe is the essence of the BBC's Charter) then they will be more likely to believe the propaganda emanating from Whitehall. After all we must curb thought disorder...
Meanwhile it's day 616 in The Transylvanian Big Brother Castle and Vlad has just found out that Scarlett has eaten all the black puddings...
