Apparently the bat has made it into the top 10 of UK animals for the first time - clearly the people who think that bats are cute and fluffy have never had the full-on Mister Squeaky experience. This aside the bat in question is currently out campaigning hard for there to be more nuclear power stations built and far fewer wind farms, he claims that this is due to his having read some Canadian research that says that wind turbines kill bats by producing pressure waves that cause their lungs to rupture, although if you scratch beneath the surface and follow the money you'll soon discover that he has a large investment in a pitchblende mine....
