Merry New Year!

First post of the year and how do I feel? Well to be truthful here better than I have for many a year, nothing has changed materially but I've got a feeling that things are on the turn for the better. This is not to say that I am now a fully paid up card-carrying optimist but rather the stresses and strains of everyday living are for the moment carefully constrained and manageable. How long this state of affairs lasts remains to be seen.
