Peas in a Pod

A couple of years ago I was in the queue to see Hawkwind at the Astoria, having got there early with some bizarre desire to see the support act, anyway just in front of me there was a small group of geezers from the midlands (guessed by the combination of accents and listening to one of them drone on about how dreadful Tipton is) and one of them was spouting forth his opinions on all kinds of things musical and in particular the evolution of different scenes across europe - how entertaining was his description of why Belgian Goth Metal was far superior to that from France and why Black Metal begins and ends with Mayhem.
The reason for this reverie is that I'm fighting a losing battle with patches for the Pod, why on earth Line6 have to have to have several version of the same tone I know not, so the only guide to what they might be like is the number of downloads that the things have had, not of course that this is a guarantee of quality -an argument put forth repeatedly by the bloke in the queue...
