World Mental Health Day

Apparently. So what do we get to promote our well-being - a nice lurid coloured website (one of the designers of which must have been hallucinating freely, as I can find no other explanation for the randomness of the colour combinations) - saying that it's okay to have mental health problems. So there you go it's officially OK to have bipolar disorder or be schizophrenic. Pity they didn't decide to target something a little more relevant than "feelings" - how about more enforcement of the disability discimination act so that people who have a mental health diagnosis aren't discriminated against in the workplace? Or looking at why disporportionate numbers of young black men are diagnosed as having a major psychotic illness as opposed to their peers of a different skin colour?
So there you are. Buy a flag and make no difference - except that you can feel better about yourself.
