Reasons to be Angry - Part 10

Grrrr! I've just had to pay for another year's tax disk for the car - money which is allegedly to be used to improve the road system. So what do I find? An incredibly long queue on the A13 - Lodge Avenue flyover closed for "materials hardening" whatever that is. However the first warning of this road closure is finding that you're in a traffic jam because three lanes are being closed down to one - not three to two then two down to one, oh no that's too simple for the brainless morons employed to put out cones. lets put them at 45 degrees across the road with the last one being at the start of the flyover.
Add to this the selfish actions of motorists who have to guard their hard earned space in the queue from anyone else trying to get in and the others who think that they'll be able to cut in at the last moment. Now add to all of this a broken down fire engine in the lane everyone's trying to get into. This adds up to a speed of 800 yards an hour, costing how ever much in fuel and not to mention the impact on the environment. Seems like I'm getting value for money again.
And whilst we're on the subject of value for money, can anyone answer me the following question. How is it that we have to pay value added tax on the duty (another tax!) we pay on fuel in the UK?
Anyway I finally get home hot and extremely bothered and wanting the quiet enjoyment of my own space when lo and behold! The Queen of the Damned Chavs decides its time for some more of her endless disco shite at Spinal Tap (everything up to 11) volume. I could posibly forgive her if she was even slightly attractive in a bad light through beer goggles but she ain't - I wonder if she's the illegitimate daughter of Lily...Time for more NFD
