25 Years

To give you some idea of how little there is to do around here on a Sunday I ended up watching some of the Falklands commemoration. Now much as I dislike Margaret Thatcher and her gang at least they were involved in the conflict and had every right to be there, unlike the Bliar who I noted was hanging around taking notes, presumably in the hope that there will be a similar event in 25 years time to commemorate his ill conceived and deeply unpopular invasion of Iraq and so we'll all look back with fond nostalgia at our self-professed best prime minister ever. Now before you accuse me of being disloyal I have every faith in our service personnel - just a shame that they are so badly let down by poor performance on the part of their political masters and the civil servants who parade the corridors of Whitehall safe from the threat of roadside bombs and the sniper's bullet.
