Quantity Theory

Now I don't know if any of you out there in the electronic universe have read Will Self's the Quantity Theory of Insanity (which gets a five bat rating from me & The Squeaky One) but briefly the theory is that there is only so much madness to go around and for example by keeping two Hampstead ladies wot lunch in therapy for life, twenty plumbers are freed from schizophrenia - anyway you get the idea.
So in an idle moment I got to thinking that perhaps this is a more general sort of theory (you can tell it's Sunday afternoon can't you?). Bear with me here whilst the old brain gets up to working temperature...This is why the charts are dominated by total crap. Because Britney Aguilera (or whatever her name is not that I particularly care) getting to number one saves enough creativity and musicianship to produce really unbelieveably good talent such as 209, Deceit, Moriarti & The Sith, Bleeding Hearts, Abigail's Mercy, In Shadow, etc etc. Check these bands out NOW!
Likewise my little hippy mate getting her less than perfect tattoos (Honest D, I'm trying to be polite but a trawler net on your back?!) done freed up Prizeman to do a really excellent job on my backpiece - admission charges apply if you want to see it - it's THAT good!
That's enough of my rambling for now - just think though my words have probably been sufficient to allow for a new Nobel prize for literature to be awarded...Quantity Theory strikes again!
